Reconviction is a 2D Top Down Animemo Roguelike Shooter where you can’t fight on your own and must take from your enemies in order to stay alive. You play as one of three different convicts who all believe they were wrongfully imprisoned in the Hebi Retention Center and plot a way to escape from the facility.
- Eliminate waves of staff in your way with their own weapons.
- Modify the weapons with various blueprints to make them even stronger.
- Kill in creative ways to gain respect that can be spent on blueprints.
Kind of a tech demo really.

"Animemo" (a portmanteau of "anime" and "emo," though not to be confused with "emo anime") comes from the GrindWorld forums, coined by the user "Sky Hedgehogian Maestro." The terms describe the fusion between anime, grunge, hip-hop, and techno embodied by both Jet Set Radio and The World Ends With You, though has since also included Scott Pilgrim, FLCL, the Splatoon series, and the Persona series.
Thanks for the training demo. The voice acting was unexpected but really cool.

Interesting tutorial. I'm not sure if overexplaining is the point, but cool Undertale vibes.
I don't under what R does. Its like a melee attack that doesnt do damage? and the controls are a bit confusing. I cant recall what the controls are as of writing this right now.
The Shotguns is also sort of aids to use, the bloom is far to much.
Enemy AI was cool and fun to fight.
Nice Combo system its a nice touch. I'm curious on how it could be expanded upon.
